The Founders

Warren McDonald

After earning his undergraduate degree in International Business with a concentration in Finance from Howard University in Washington DC, Warren returned home to Kingston, Jamaica to join Canco Limited, the family business with his father, brother and sister.    Warren spent his first 8 years at Canco, working in the areas of Raw Material Procurement, Production, Strategic Planning and Marketing.   In 2000, he established and is currently the Managing Director of Treasure Trading Inc.(TTI), a US-based distribution company that has a network throughout 11 states in the US.  Treasure Trading is committed to building close-knit relationships with a selective group of customers/companies that seek to enter the U.S. market with high quality Caribbean products.  Warren currently serves as a Director of Canco Ltd, home of the Linstead Market Jamaica brand.

Roy Newell

A Business Executive and an Engineer by profession, has amassed over twenty-eight years of international and local business management experience spanning the agricultural, food processing and the automotive industries. Mr. Newell currently is the Managing Director of Tijule Company Ltd, a local agro processing company founded by his aunt that produces and exports Jamaican Hot and Spicy Sauce products under the brand names, Juliana and Nel’s Old Time to overseas markets. After the passing of his aunt & founder of Tijule Co. Ltd, in 2013, Roy became Managing Director and runs day-to-day operations of the company.

Christine M. Wong

Christine’s dad started mashing and fermenting pepper’s from his mother-in-law’s land in the 80’s and over the year’s developed Eaton’s and King Pepper brand sauces and Jams. Christine grew up watching the business grow and wanted to follow in her dad’s footsteps with a different twist. Christine wanted to focus on all local and natural ingredients and collaborate with new Jamaica talent to develop exciting recipes mixing traditional with contemporary. She hopes her 2 daughters will follow in the tradition and make their own mark in Jamaican cuisine.
